A poster of hate

Yesterday, I published a story about anti-Semitism in the San Francisco Bay Area. Among other things, the article mentioned posters of cans of soup labeled 'canned Palestinian children meat, slaughtered according to Jewish rites.' "

The Jerusalem Post just published a picture of the blood libel:

Laurie Zoloth, a professor at San Francisco State University, put it bluntly and powerfully in a widely circulated e-mail: "I cannot fully express what it feels like to have to walk across campus daily, past posters of cans of soup with labels on them of drops of blood and dead babies, labeled 'canned Palestinian children meat, slaughtered according to Jewish rites.' "

I can understand that such hate and lies could be published in places such as Saudi Arabia or Egypt, but I was really surprised to see it happening in my own back yard, in San Francisco, CA.
