Three unarmed civilians murdered by Palestinian genocide bomber, over 40 wounded

The Jerusalem Post (www.jpost.com) reports that a Palestinian genocide bomber blew himself up in Tel-Aviv killing 3 unarmed civilians.

Two suicide bombers blew themselves up seconds apart in Tel Aviv on Wednesday evening, killing three other people and wounding 40, police said.

National Police Chief Yossi Sedbon said two of the victims were foreign workers and the third had not yet been identified. Of the wounded, five were in serious condition, he said.

The attack took place on Neve Shaanan street in the southern part of the downtown area, near the city's old central bus station. Ambulances and police raced to the scene and closed off the area.

The area is crowded with small shops and stalls. Many foreign workers live in the rundown neighborhood. Israel Radio said most of the casualties were foreign workers. The bomb went off at the entrance to the Central Theater, near a cafe.

Luckily the bombs weren t large, so the damage was minimal, Sedbon remarked on Israel Television. He added that since it was Tisha Be Av fewer people were out on the street than usual at about 10:30 p.m when the attack occurred.

However, Sedbon cautioned: We are witnessing intensive efforts by terror groups to carry out attacks, and police remained on the alert for further attempts.

As rescue efforts were underway in Tel Aviv, another attempted attack was reported near Kibbutz Eyal, north of the city and not far from the Palestinian city of Kalkilya. Security forces thwarted that attack, media reports said.

Rescue workers reported removing more than 30 wounded from the scene in Tel Aviv. Initially officials put the death toll at seven, including the two bombers. Later it turned out that three people died besides the bombers.

Dutzu Raduyan, a worker from Romania, said he heard an explosion, and the lights in his nearby apartment went out.

"Moments later we heard the second explosion. I went down" to the street, he said, and later described the scene. "It was horrible, dead people were everywhere and the injured were screaming. I've never seen such a thing in my life."

Shaken, he said he would take his family back to Romania.

Hizbullah s Al-Manar TV in Beirut said it had received a claim of responsibility on behalf of Islamic Jihad, but no further confirmation was available.

Israel blamed the Palestinian Authority, led by Yasser Arafat. "The Palestinian Authority continues to do nothing to stop the murderous attacks launched from its territory," said David Baker, an official in the Prime Minister's Office.

"This attack in Tel Aviv proves that Palestinian terrorists are determined to murder, maim and terrorize as many Israelis as they can, thinking that by doing so they can pressure Israel into concessions," he told The Associated Press.

It was the second terror attack against Israelis in two days. On Tuesday, Palestinians ambushed a bus in the West Bank, killing eight Israelis, including two babies. Three Palestinian groups claimed responsibility for the attack.
