Neo-Nazi from Chile sends me hate mail

On Friday, 11/15/2002, I received the following comment:

This lovely remark was entered as a comment to an article which I had previously posted that described how on July 14, 2002, a Canadian neo-Nazi skinhead deliberately murdered a Jew in Toronto (just for being Jewish). I left the original comment in the original article, which you may find here.

I traced back the IP address to the server - a computer that belongs to the Chilean ISP Entel ( I sent the ISP from Chile a message requesting their help in identifying the neo-Nazi and asking them about their 'Terms of Service', but unfortunately I have received no answer.

To find out how I was able to trace back the message to an ISP in Chile, please read "Stop the Hate!", a technical tutorial with step-by-step instructions that could help you if you ever receive hate mail.

To see how institutions in the United States, including a University and a public library, properly reacted when one of their users sent me hate mail, please click here.

You should ask yourselves why all the 'hate' first. I don't think its baseless honestly, not for nothing your kind has been prosecuted through the entire history of mankind.

This is not hatemail, but its quite irritating the way you all cry about being 'victims' when you're actually the opposite.
I'm from Chile as well, and israeli/jewish people aren't seen with good eyes here by the vast majority of people, mainly because they are thaught both sides of the story, mostly regarding the Holocaust (If I have had put "" between that word, you would have persecuted me wouldn't you?). At least we have free speech here still and people don't get their lives ruined just because of stating the obvious nature of the jewish people and the 'holocaust'.

It's a fact, proved fact. And no, again, this is not 'hatemail'. It's the truth. Apologies for the crappy english.

>I'm from Chile as well, and
>israeli/jewish people
>aren't seen with good eyes
>here by the vast majority
>of people,

IF the majority of the people in Chile do not "see with good eyes" Jews and Israelis it simply means the majority of people in Chile is racist.

That said, I don't think "the majority" of people in Chile is anti-Semitic.

What might be true is that the majority of people named "Hans" with parents and grand-parents from Nazi germany are anti-semitic.

"Hans", the above racist excuse for a human being, proves in his comments why it's important for Jews to have a country of their own

Only Israel can give us enough strength to fight back whenever attacked by Nazis named "Hans", Islamic fanatics or leftist fascists.

Posted by: David Melle at February 7, 2003 11:34 PM

My name is Juan Ignacio, and I'm from Chile. I find it quite offensive thr fact that "Hans" describes his own people as racist to an extent. In Chile we have a large Jewish community, which is every muchas as Chilean as anyone, very important Jewish people have taken part in political, cultural and other traists of society. Here in Chile we are not all racist, in fact I can say that we are very respectful to other races to a large extent, yet it is difficult to rid ourselves of racists who do no good to anyone.

Posted by: Juan Ignacio at June 2, 2003 06:40 PM

I'm am a neo-Nazi and I'm not a freek I believe in racial suppremecy and the extermination of all the unworthy races and the bad people hidden in the betta races even Germany. I think that you are a dick head, try hard, nigel because all you seem to do is trace Neo-Nazis, which is a dumb thing to do as people have the right to believe in what they want. 1 last thing, few people believe that some races are better than others but if you look at history it is 100% true eg. look at the aboriginals what have they done or brought to our world ? a digeory doo and a lot of hardship from all the wealthfare payments that have to be made, I am sick of it all and when I'm older i will go to germany and led them to victory this time and all the world will be germany's slave

Posted by: German at July 27, 2003 08:39 PM

I'm also chilean. we do not look down on jews. We have many of them in our country, they contribute to society and enrichens it.

German said something about races not developing...yes, I can't deny the fact that the darker a race is, the less advanced it is. This is FACT. The real question is why? I can't tell...BUT I can tell that the biggest and most powerful nations in the world usually habits many jews... :D SHALOM!
Vamos Chile & Israel!

P.S Chile and Israel are close trading partners!

I'm from a family of "Nazis" as you would call them named "Hans" and resent your negative comments towards the German people. My grandfather walked in the gutters with the Jewish people as he was raised to believe that all people with a human face are humans. He was made fun of by people in the Hitler Youth for this right before he was sent to the Russian front (hell on earth). He has suffered at the hands of the nazis more than most of the people that claim a hatred for the nazis even though they were born after WW2. Labeling the majority of German "nazis" and their decendents puts you in the nazi bin of people for me.

"What might be true is that the majority of people named "Hans" with parents and grand-parents from Nazi germany are anti-semitic."

That´s a racist coment, so don´t cry because of the rest of the people put you aside for being a jew, because you are feeding it. Yes, i´m chilean, with german blood and i´m proud of it.

Posted by: Santiago at January 22, 2004 05:47 PM

LorExc and Santiago:

Please read my comments again - I never said that all or the majority of Germans are Nazis. I do not believe that to be true. Contrary to the Nazi freaks, I do not generalize and say that all Germans are Nazis, nor do I say that all Germans are sub-humans.

What I said was that:

1) If someone sends me a message justifying the hate against Jews and denying the Holocaust.
2) That same person is from Chile and is named "Hans".

It probably means that:

1) This racist bastard is of German origin (due to the name "Hans")
2) This racist bastard's parents or grandparents came from Nazi Germany. His family being from Nazi Germany would explain his current racism and Holocaust denial.

In other words:

If you are a Chilean with German blood, and you're not a racist bastard I have no problem with you. If you are a German, and you're not a racist bastard, I have no problem with you either.

But if your name is Hans and you hate Jews, Blacks and "non-Arians" and you deny the Holocaust, then you're a Nazi freak who probably had parents or Grandparents who came from Nazi Germany.

And if such a Nazi mutant sends me a hate message, I'll track him down and make him pay.

I was in Germany once Time, and I have seen any neo nazi or sknihead!! I know, there are some skin heads! but I think that here in Southamerica and in the United States OVERALL, are more racist than in other countries. People always say: Germany = nazis, but what's going on with chile?! is there XENOFOBIA?! yes , there is! in Peru, also, Bolivia also, Argentina, also! USA, they think they are superior! fuck off! I think that we have to be united. That´s the only way to create a better world. Sorry for my english ;)

Posted by: Peruano at April 22, 2004 12:01 AM

So, people have absolutely no right to speak their mind according to you David? If it bothers you or offends you that's a completely different thing, but EVERYBODY should be allowed to FREELY speak their mind without having to be prosecuted for it! I'm not Nazi or racist by the way, so please don't be offended, it's just that I think EVERYONE deserves the free speech, INCLUDING NEO-NAZIS, JEWS, COMMUNISTS, etc.

Prosecuting people because of their toughts or ideas is VERY NAZI to me!!

Posted by: J. at June 20, 2004 02:16 AM

I also believe in free speech, it is one of the many great achievements of the United States that this idea that people should be free to express their thoughts is a basic right.

That said, free speech does not include the right to threaten someone or encourage violence or death. The Nazi German freak was explicitly calling for my death and the death of all Jews.

Feel free to express your opinion, but the moment you threaten someone or call for someone's death your speech is not protected anymore.

In fact, in the United States, if appropriate action is taken, for example taking a Neo-Nazi freak (who has publicly called for the death of all Jews) to court, the Neo Nazi will probably go to jail.

Posted by: David Melle at June 20, 2004 10:05 AM

Ok David, I do see your point, but I believe this is a rather complicated matter to discuss through a "guestbook" when it comes to the subject of where are set the limits of anyone's freedom of speech (excuse me, my english is not very good to explain myself properly).

Posted by: J. at June 20, 2004 12:02 PM

I'm chilean too but them these few fools really makes chile look like a racist nation. Actually they are few dumbass wannabe all white assholes.

Posted by: 100% latino&white at October 18, 2004 05:18 PM

This is a open message to all the Chilenos y Argentinos (which include ppl of euro decent and jews in those nations) in this message board. If you are of European or jewish background, which most of you are, what do you consider yourself to be Chilean of Argentinian first?, or European and JEW?. Essentially where does your partiotism pertain to?
What is your understanding of what it mean to be LATINO? Do you support a "Mercado del Sur"? even if the union of latin american nations threatens European and American power and influence?
I ask becuase as you know many people of different races can call themselves LATINO (blacks, whites and indians), do you see yourselves part of a race or part of the Latin american LAND?

Well I think these "nazis" ought to read a book, there is many on this subject, about WW2. A war that old Adolf wanted so bad, so he could get his dream of owning the world and kicking Jews and black people and disabled people.... Well actually I will tell you a few things, Hitler killed alot of these people, mostly Jewish, but he couldnt kill them all. And, a pretty big part of the story, Hitler loses!!!! Do these "nazis" not know Hitler is dead?

Posted by: S.P. at March 31, 2006 09:53 AM

I'm a proud Chilean and please stop the hate, everyone! I mean nazis, jewish, balck, white, gays, palestinian. Don't let the past control you, just look to the future and make no difference. There is no innocente here, we are all guilty.

Posted by: Roberto at April 26, 2006 11:16 AM

Skin heads have problems.. they think that they are "Ayran" what a joke they are just teens going through a phase anbd will eventually get over it, do you think Hitler would call them perfect? I find it funny that they attempt to carry on Hitlers work even though his is dead its sad really.. but hopefully they will change their ways and give up this phase in their life and God may forgive them yet or they can seal their own fate. Dont worry about these racists they will get what is coming to them in this life or the next :)

Decidí escribir este mensaje porque me parece apropiado aclarar algo sobre el título de "Neo-Nazi from Chile sends me hate mail". I have English blood, I am Catholic and Apostolic Roman, my culture is sabina, latina y etrusca. I study at a German school, so let me explain to you: i am deeply sorry about the e-mail, because I am chilean. But the people from other country`s most understand that the people who send the mail are stuped people, they are uneducated, with indian blood, and very poor. They do not know how to speak german or what the german culture means. So please do not make the problem bigger. They are "resentidos sociales" they do not know what they do. They are painfull, they are also harmless. You most know that de 99,999% of the people of Chile is not racist. And the "neonazis chilenos" are trash.

Posted by: Christian Adams at October 19, 2006 08:58 AM

Well, I'm Chilean too as most of the contributors to this blog. It's very unfortunate to read that most of these Chileans with "German blood" call themselves non racists but look down on people with "Indian blood". If that's not racist, than what is? Obviously a cultural revolution is needed in not only Chile, but whole of Latino America. People need to respect the human rights of all human beings. Ad hoc, economic and political power needs to be distributed even to the people with "Indian blood", or else we'll prevail with an unsustainable society. It’s ludicrous that German Nazis can still keep the power in many Chilean Southern cities and towns and repress the native Chileans. Their place should be behind bars in an Israeli jail. Unfortunately Chile is a racist country today, but I remain certain that my People will be able to create a just and better society for the future generations.

Posted by: Mario at May 11, 2007 03:42 PM

Chile needs to realise it is a country of many origins. Some of our top entertainers and business people are of diverse backgrounds including of Jewish descent. It is ridiculous that Chileans of many generations still think of themselves as Germans or Jews or anything other than Chileans. My ancestors are European, Middle Eastern and American Indian and I have to say that my pride is in belonging to the tribal origins of my land. Chileans should understand that they are Chileans FIRST not anything else.

"Los que gastan sus energias odiando a los demas, jamas entederan el valor de ser respetado y amado."

As you can see, it's a quote I created myself.
I'm Chilean and I think we have the bad and the good in our country , but I prefer the good of it.

Give peace a chance!
