Racist bastard from Morocco tries to blow up Synagogue in Belgium

MSNBC (www.msnbc.com) reports that a racist bastard of Moroccan origin tried to blow up a synagogue in Belgium, but luckily the police stopped him in time:

BRUSSELS, June 13 Belgian police arrested a man suspected of trying to blow up a synagogue on Friday in what could be the latest in a string of anti-Jewish attacks across Europe [...]

Jules Mathieu, a spokesman for the public prosecutor's office, said the man was suspected of having placed five gas bottles in a car on Friday morning and torching it in front of the synagogue, in a densely populated area of the southern town of Charleroi.

There was no explosion and the blaze was rapidly put out by firefighters based nearby, avoiding what could have been large explosion in the north of the city.

Several synagogues and Jewish buildings in European countries were attacked last year. [...]

BRUSSELS, June 13 Belgian police arrested a man suspected of trying to blow up a synagogue on Friday in what could be the latest in a string of anti-Jewish attacks across Europe linked to violence in the Middle East.

Several synagogues and Jewish buildings in European countries were attacked last year after Israel launched a military offensive on the West Bank in March 2002.

Mathieu would not identify the Charleroi suspect but said he was of Moroccan origin and had confessed to setting the car alight. ''It's possible that he has psychological problems, but we have to have experts evaluate him first,'' he said.

Belgian authorities said they believed it was an isolated incident.

''The first scenario is that (the suspect) has health problems and that makes us think it is an isolated act,'' Charleroi Public Prosecutor Thierry Marchandise told Belgian radio. ''But we are not rejecting the possibility of a terrorist attack. We are looking into it.''

Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt condemned the attack, but saw no need to raise security around Jewish buildings.

It rather sounds like the belgian terrorist appeasers just waited a brief moment if this terrorist succeeds. I bet they will teach him how to do better, next time.
