Please help the victims of the earthquake and resulting tsunamis of East Africa and South Asia

This story has not much to do with Israel or Jewish History, but we must do what we can to help. If you can afford it, please click here to donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Your donation will be process through Amazon.com, a reliable online bookstore, who will forward 100% of your donation to the American Red Cross. Here's more info on the disaster:

At least 120,000 people have lost their lives in East Africa and South Asia in the aftermath of the earthquake and resulting tsunamis on December 26.

Thousands of people in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, and Indonesia are still missing; many others have lost their homes and livelihoods. Sri Lanka and Indonesia suffered the highest number of deaths, but India, East Africa, Seychelles, Maldives, and Thailand were all affected by the tsunami waves, which reached as high as 20 feet.

Aid workers and volunteers are focused on stopping the spread of disease and delivering food and drinking water to survivors. The American Red Cross reports that emergency assessment and first-aid teams were on the ground quickly and are already working with local groups to support relief efforts.

Your financial donation will help provide medicine, clothing, food, and shelter for victims of the East Africa and South Asia earthquake and tsunami disaster. One hundred percent of your donation will go to the American Red Cross. Thanks in advance for your participation during this critical time. The American Red Cross name is used with its permission. For more information about the American Red Cross, please call 1‑800 HELP NOW or e-mail info@usa.redcross.org.

I have donated $100, and currently over 132,476 people have already donated over 10 million dollars ($10,440,878.72). Please do what you can to help. To donate, point your browser to:

Sorry to dampen anyone's enthusiasm, though I do support this and similar anti-caliphate sites, but one of several things I have picked up working and living in 3rd World countries it's not to trust hard cash to any disaster fund since the overwhelming bulk of it disappears seamlessly into various influential pockets.

This naturally assumes other 3rd World nations are as corrupt as India and Thailand, where several years after the tsunami hundreds of millions of $$ are still unaccounted for.

It may be the thought that counts, and some may argue it's worth donating in the hope that some of it gets through to those who need it...sadly, real life does tend to kick in when money is involved, so hope away.
